Why it exists

Four things that never talked to each other.

A till, a spreadsheet, an accounts package and a notebook. Each held a piece of the truth and none held all of it. EasyTaskr puts them in one place without turning it into a project.

  1. Before: The tillIn EasyTaskr: The till, with receipts and returns
  2. Before: The stock spreadsheetIn EasyTaskr: Stock that moves when you sell or receive
  3. Before: The accounts packageIn EasyTaskr: Invoices, payments and who owes you
  4. Before: The notebook by the phoneIn EasyTaskr: Customers, orders and their history

The company behind it

EasyTaskr is made by Tech Me Today Ltd.

A software company registered in England and Wales, building one thing: the system a small business runs on. We write the code, run the servers and answer the support emails ourselves.

Our mission: give every small business the tools a big one has, without the cost, the consultants or the six-month project.

What we believe

Four rules we build by.

  1. 01

    Plain words

Screens say “orders to deliver” and “who owes you”, not codes and jargon. If a new member of staff cannot follow it, we change the screen.

  2. 02

    Real numbers only

Nothing on a screen is made up to fill a gap. If something has not been recorded yet, it says so.

  3. 03

    Options, not strict rules

Businesses work differently, so where they differ it is a setting you choose, not a rule we impose.

  4. 04

    Your data is yours

You can export it at any time, it is kept apart from every other business, and we never sell it.

Who it is for

It arrives shaped like your trade.

13 kinds of business are set up out of the box, so the first screen you see is the one you would have built.

AI, used responsibly

AI that helps, and asks first.

EasyTaskr uses AI where it saves real time: type / for a command or @ for the exact customer, product or order, have an invoice or a social post drafted for your OK, or ask “what sold best this week?” of your own records.

Take the AI tour
  • Leading models

Requests go to models from Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Groq or Google, chosen for the task, through their business APIs.

  • Only your own records

The assistant can only read the business it is working for. It is built to ignore instructions hidden in data, and tested for it.

  • Drafts, not decisions

AI suggests and drafts. It asks before it changes anything, and a person stays responsible.

  • Labelled and optional

AI features are marked as AI, and a business that would rather not use them can have them switched off.

Security and data protection

Kept safe, kept apart, kept backed up.

  • Every business’s data is kept separate, and every request is checked against the business it belongs to.
  • Everything travels over HTTPS; passwords are hashed and connected-account keys are encrypted.
  • Two-step sign-in, roles and permissions decide who sees what.
  • Hosted in DigitalOcean’s UK region, with daily database backups. Registered with the ICO.

Getting started

What happens when you move over.

  1. 01

    Bring your list over

Send the product list you already have; a spreadsheet is fine. It is loaded and checked with you.

  2. 02

    Switch on what you use

Go through the parts once and keep the ones your trade needs. The rest stay out of the menu.

  3. 03

    Serve a customer

Take one real sale on it. That is the test that matters, and it usually happens the same day.

Joining

Joining EasyTaskr: what the application asks, and why

You apply at Start free in five short steps: who you are, what the business is, who else needs access, a blueprint of how your account will be set up, and a final check of the lasting settings. Nothing is charged. A person on our team checks every application, usually within one working day, then emails you to sign in.

Step by step

The application at Start free takes about three minutes for most businesses. One question opens at a time, and everything you type is saved as you go.

  1. Tell us who you are. Enter your email address. It becomes your sign-in and is where we send updates about the application. We email a 6-digit code to check the address is yours; each code works for 15 minutes, and if it does not arrive, check your spam or promotions folder.
  2. Say whether it is your business. Choose I own the business, and the account is set up in your name. If you are applying for someone else, such as a manager or a bookkeeper, say so and give your role. You stay the contact and the owner can be added later.
  3. Describe the business. Pick the kind of business, describe it in a few words, and choose the closest match from the list, because we set you up like that one. Tap what you sell, choose your country and the currency you sell in, and say how many shops or branches you have and whether you sell online.
  4. Add who else needs access. Enter the email addresses of the people who will work in EasyTaskr with you. You can add more later.
  5. Read your blueprint. This is a plain summary of how your account will be set up: your company, your shops, money and tax (including whether your prices include tax, and your tax registration number if you have one), starter product categories, where you sell, and your people. Change anything that is not right.
  6. Check the lasting settings. The last step separates the settings that are hard to change once you are open from the ones you can change any time. Read the table below before you confirm them.
  7. Send it. Nothing is charged. A person on our team checks the application, usually within one working day.
  8. Sign in when we email you. Your account opens set up the way the blueprint says. If our team needs a change first, the email says what, and you can edit the application from the link.

Which settings are hard to change later?

Four choices shape the whole account, so they are set once and then changed only by our team. Two are yours to change whenever you like.

SettingWhy it mattersCan you change it later?
Kind of businessDecides which menus and tools you getOnly our team can switch it
CountrySets your time zone, phone format and, where we have them, tax rulesOnly our team can change it
Base currencyEvery price, invoice and report is kept in itPossible, but amounts already entered are not converted
Financial year startsUsed when you close a yearOnly our team can change it
Legal business namePrinted on your invoices, as it appears on your registrationYes
Invoice prefixStarts every invoice number, for example ABC-00042Yes; invoices already issued keep their number

The invoice prefix must be 2 to 6 letters or numbers. Pick something short that customers will recognise as yours.

Why does a person check every application?

Because the first screen you see should already fit the business. Checking the application lets us confirm the closest kind of business is the right one, that the currency and country match where you trade, and that the blueprint makes sense before anything is created.

If something in the application does not fit, we ask for a change rather than opening an account that is set up wrong. Editing the application after it has been sent puts it back to a draft until you send it again, so nothing half-changed is checked by mistake.

What if your business does not fit the list neatly?

Most businesses do not, and the application allows for it. Describe the business in your own words first, then pick the closest kind from the list: we set you up like that one, and a person reads your description when checking the application. If your country is not in the main list, choose Another country. If you sell in a currency other than the usual one for your country, choose Sell in a different currency. Country also sets tax rules where we have them, so if yours is not covered, say how you charge tax in the description so the person checking the application can see it.

What should you have ready before you start?

Nothing is required beyond your email address, but these make the blueprint far more accurate:

  • Your legal business name, exactly as registered.
  • Your tax position: whether you are registered for VAT or a similar tax, your registration number if you have one, and whether your shelf prices include tax.
  • Your branches: how many places you sell from, and whether you also sell online.
  • The month your financial year starts, from your accountant if you are not sure.
  • A first look at your product list. You do not upload it during the application, but knowing your main categories helps you pick sensible starter ones.
  • The email addresses of anyone who should have access from day one.

What happens after you sign in?

Your first job is the one the getting-started steps above describe: bring in your product list, keep the parts your trade needs, and take a real sale. A few habits make the first week smoother:

  • Fill in cost prices while you check your products. Profit, margin and stock value all depend on them.
  • Count your stock before you trust it. Our stocktake guide walks through a first count.
  • Give each person their own login and the role that fits their job, so the till, the stock and the money are seen only by the people who handle them.
  • Close the first day properly, with a cash up and day lock, and keep doing it.

If you are still deciding whether you need a till on its own or one connected system, POS vs ERP sets out the difference, and how to choose a POS system gives a checklist to take to any supplier, including us.

Questions people ask

Do I have to finish the application in one go?

No. Progress saves as you go, so you can use Save & finish later, refresh the page or come back from the link we email you, and you land where you left off.

Is anything charged when I apply?

No. Nothing is charged when you send the application.

How long does approval take?

A person on our team checks every application, usually within one working day, and emails you when your account is ready.

Can I change my business type after I am open?

Only our team can switch it later, because it decides which menus and tools you get. The same goes for country and financial year, and changing the base currency later does not convert amounts already entered.

Can I apply for a business I do not own?

Yes. Say you are not the owner and give your role. You stay the contact, and the owner can be added later.

What can I do while I wait?

Take the guided tour: a day in a business like yours, on sample figures, so you know your way around before you sign in.
